Era: Early 20th century (circa 1910-1930)
Condition: good; fugitive dye around embroidery; minor age spotting; normal signs of wear and age; no holes/tears; suitable for both wear and display

Additional Notes: Traditional woman’s chemise from the Suva Gora region of Macedonia. Beautifully embroidered by hand with multicolored wool (?) and metallic threads. The motifs on the shoulders are particularly nice. The embroidered cuffs of this region are quite atypical of Macedonia and more resemble the costumes of other European cultures. The colors have run very slightly along the edges of the embroidery and there are also some minor age spots and other signs of age.
