Additional Notes: Influenced by the style and ornamentation of Ottoman dress, these jackets became very popular with Palestinian women in the Bethlehem area and even became souvenir items for Europeans traveling to the region. They were made in various colors, but the cut remained relatively consistent and was based on earlier styles of Palestinian garments from the same region worn over long sleeved dresses. Fully lined with pink-salmon color fabric (some stains).
