Additional Notes: The embellishments and much of the embroidery on this dress were added recently; however, the basic garment itself is an original example of the local dress from Metaxades. If desired, the more modern additions on the dress front could be removed to return it to is earlier state. The original orange wool trim is missing in several places especially along the bottom hem. A reference photo showing two women in full costumes from Metaxades is included above to show how the dress would have been worn.
