Era: Early 20th century (circa 1910-1930)
Condition: good; areas of splitting to brocade fabric (some repaired); thread loss to floral ribbon trim; minor spotting; missing two fastener hooks; recommended for display only, but could be worn with care and attention to damaged areas
Measurements (with garments laying flat):
  Across front: 19″ between underarms.
  Length: 17.5″
Additional Notes: This style of vest was worn in several villages to the south of Piestany including Madunice, Cervenik and Sokolovce. This particular example comes from the village of Drahovce. Made of fine floral brocade with metallic threads and trimmed with silk floral ribbon along the edges. Lined with burlap fabric. Closes at the front with hook-and-eye fasteners.
