Measurements: approximately 40″ from top to end of ribbons (standard adult size)
Additional Notes: Impressive handmade headdress from the Hluk area of Moravia decorated with hundreds of glass beads, artificial flowers, mirrors, and long painted ribbons on the back. Hand-painted ribbons came into fashion after The Great War when woven floral ribbons were hard to find and peasants turned to individually painting the designs as a substitute. The tradition continued in Moravia even after woven ribbons were available again and are today seen as a characteristic element of the regional dress.
