Measurements: 11.25″ long
Additional Notes: Handmade ethnic leg warmers (as we might call them today) from the Sarakatsani people inhabiting parts of Greece and Bulgaria (this particular pair comes from Greece). Traditionally made from a special type of hand-spun wool called kaltsoskouti spun on a drop spindle and incorporating white commercial cotton threads. The last photo is overexposed to better show both of the dark colors used in knitting (brown and navy).
