Additional Notes: Such embroidered ribbons were worn around the waist on the back of folk costumes throughout the Ostrozsko region in Moravia. The length of this pair indicates a relatively early date as they became increasingly shorter over time to complement shorter skirts that came into fashion following WWII. Charming floral motifs executed in brightly colored satin stitch embroidery.
