Additional Notes: Heavy homespun wool coat from the Polissya region in north western Ukraine. Wool coats such as this were worn during cold weather by both men and women throughout Ukraine and differed slightly in their cut and ornamentation. This example is the color of natural sheep wool and the only decorations are the decorative seams made with linen threads.
