Condition: very good; missing waist ties; suitable for both wear and display

Additional Notes: A beautiful Dutch woman’s apron from the village of Marken. Very dark navy color, heavy felted wool cloth with band of decorative plaid cotton (or possibly linen?) at the waist joined by decorative ribbon trim. The maker’s initials “A.P.” are embroidered on both sides. The apron has metal loop fasteners for attaching waist and side ribbon ties. Incredibly the side ribbons are included (quite rare), but the waist ties are missing.
