Condition: very good; hardly any signs of wear; suitable for both wear and display
Measurements (with garments laying flat): approximately 17.5″ between underarms x 15.5″ long
Additional Notes: Deaccessioned from a Dutch museum over a decade ago. Made of red wool cloth with various types of trim and edging. Lined with linen burlap type fabric and fastens with three hook and eye clasps. The original owner’s initials “GS” are embroidered on the inside. This vest is part of the traditional woman’s dress from Marken and is worn over the more recognizable embroidered corset. Scarce.
