Additional Notes: Silk velvet vest with metallic ribbon trim and other ornaments on the back. Lined with cotton. Once especially popular with hippies and anti-war activists, these vest were made in a variety of colors in Afghanistan during the mid-20th century and continue to charm with their ethnic yet sophisticated feel. Effective juxtaposition of gold metallic trim against earthy colored velvet.
