Additional Notes: Handmade ethnic socks from the Sarakatsani people inhabiting parts of Greece and Bulgaria (this particular pair comes from Bulgaria). Traditionally made from a special type of hand-spun wool called kaltsoskouti spun on a drop spindle and incorporating white commercial cotton threads.
