Additional Notes: Unique long woman’s vest from Albania. Made of felted natural white color wool with handmade braided trim around the edges. Worn open layered over other garments. Relatively simple in style, this vest shows how even the most basic everyday dress was made with attention to detail with importance placed on edge decoration harking back to ancient pagan beliefs of protecting the body from evil forces.
