Additional Notes: Rare wedding headdress from the turn of the 19th century. Made of wax and paper flowers and leaves plus handmade coils and foil ball decorations. By those who could afford it, such wreaths were often framed and displayed in the home together with a photo of the married couple. The last image above shows a similar, larger wreath as worn by a young bride along with a regional folk costume and lots of jewelry.
