Additional Notes: Traditional short vest of the style worn in the villages around Holic in western Slovakia. This example of silver and gold brocade is likely from Unin or Radimov and is decorated with hand embroidery, metallic trim and glass beads. A button and loop were added later at the top to keep the vest fastened during folk dancing. The historic reference image included above show a man from Vradiste wearing similar type of short vest.
